Customs clearance

Goods handled in the temporary storage facility with the number PLTST321000190011, operated by Gdynia Container Terminal Sp. z o.o., are automatically detained in both the import and export directions by applying the detention code “DT” in the GCT eXpress system. This also applies to cargo with EU status.

The release of goods from customs supervision in the GCT eXpress system may be carried out by an officer of the Customs and Fiscal Service or a person having appropriate authorisation in the eXpress declaration system. Authorisation is granted by the system administrator to entities holding an AEO certificate and/or a simplified procedure permit after signing an agreement between the principal and Gdynia Container Terminal Sp. z o.o.

It is also possible to release goods from customs supervision using the PCS automat.

Announcements concerning the way in which the Polish PCS automatically releases goods from customs supervision are posted on an ongoing basis on klient.gct.pl and polskipcs.pl. Transhipment relations on import, export and intra-Community deliveries in the export direction can be handled automatically. Detailed information on the scope of handling customs declarations is available on the Polski PCS website.

Detention code “IH” is handled only by officers of the Customs and Fiscal Service.
